Jim Corbett National Park, which is a part of the larger Corbett Tiger Reserve, is a Project Tiger Reserve located in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. Established in the year 1936 as Hailey National Park, Corbett has the distinction of being India's oldest and most prestigious national park. It is also being hailed as the place where Project Tiger was first launched in 1973. Bijrani Safari Zone: Bijrani is a very popular tourist destination due to its abundant natural beauty and open grasslands. The entrance to the zone is located just 01 km from the city of Ramnagar.
Jhirna Safari Zone: Jhirna is also a more important tourist area in Jim Corbett National Park, which is open to tourists throughout the year. Jhirna Gate is located at a distance of 16 km from the city of Ramnagar.
Dhela Safari Zone: Dhela is a new eco-tourism zone in November 2014 in Corbett National Park, included in the Tiger Reserve zone. It is the only zone in the buffer zone of the Reserve open to tourists in the CTR. The region is attracting a large number of tourists due to its rich flora and fauna, which is open throughout the year, which is located at a distance of about 13 km from the city of Ramnagar.
Dhikala Region: Being the largest and most diverse region in Corbett, Dhikala is famous for its abundant natural beauty as well as providing the best sight for exotic creatures. Sitabani Buffer Zone: Sitabani Zone does not come under the Corbett Tiger Reserve area. If you are fond of the serene environment of natural beauty, then definitely visit the Sitabani region.
